I wanted to post the CFDA portrait because I think it's one of the most beautiful shots of them together I've seen in awhile, and the last two pictures are from last night's CFDA Awards; both are wearing The Row and Cartier jewels, and Mary-Kate is wearing one of my favourite pieces from Chanel's Pre-Fall 2011 collection and rocks it beautifully!

MET Costume Institute Gala 2011

Photos from the "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" Costume Institute Gala  are still coming in but I had to post the person who in my opinion was the best dressed of the night: Ashley Olsen! Ashley wore a Vintage Christian Dior Haute Couture dress, Christian Louboutin heels, a Judith Leiber bag and Van Cleef & Arpels jewellery. Now I know I'm biased as I'm a big MKA fan but she looks so overwhelmingly chic! I also finally read the amazing interview they did in last months American Vogue and I was so impressed at how mature they seem and what an amazing business woman Ashley is. I'll just let the pictures do the talking...

Here are some scans from April's US Vogue that features an article on Mary-Kate and Ashley. I like how the pictures seem relaxed and even slightly spontaneous, but the one with the stilts?! WTF. And the shoot seems very 90's to me as well. Anyone?

The Row F/W 2011

So far this has to be my favourite collection of NYFW. Now I know I'm biased because I'm freakin' obsessed with the Olsen twins but this collection is truely magnificent.

Beautifully mature and immensely well concieved, the collection blends modern tailoring with luxe furs and lace seamlessly, and the colour palette is mesmerising - deep berry, chocolate brown, mustard yellow, inky black and clean white, with pops of powder blue and yellow leopard print. The styling accents the whole collection, turning it into something more urban than we've seen before from The Row; the fur hats and chunky white socks speak of practical measures taken against the harsh NY weather, but the leopard print coat and velvet slippers are pure MKA. I'm blown away..

This collection makes me SO glad I picked up those black velvet Zara slippers last year. Next on my hit list is these Topshop beauties. Now where can I find £50 lying around?

HUMP DAY POST

Just a quick post to show you all my new laptop background.....oh did I not mention I have an unhealthy obsession with the Olsen twins? And have done since I was about 5? No? Well now you know!
