My apologise for being a very bad blogger and not filling you guys in on whats been going on and whats up with the insane absence! Well, I landed myself an awesome internship at Browns in London! I'm into my third week and everyone has been brilliant helping me adjust, and I'm just super proud to be working for such a prestigious company such as Browns! Hopefully I can update more frequently but until then let's drool over the glorious shoes above! Shotgun the silver glitter, brown studded and black chelsea boots!!
I am currently in love with with Lykke Li. She has amazing style and talent, and this video is testament to both; her acting is brilliant and she creates just the right amount of tension to make it compulsive viewing right to the end. And the dress designed by Anna-Sara Davik is absolutely gorgeous!
On another note posting may become very slow as I have finally landed an internship, at the world famous luxury fashion boutique Browns! Wish me luck!
I wanted to post the CFDA portrait because I think it's one of the most beautiful shots of them together I've seen in awhile, and the last two pictures are from last night's CFDA Awards; both are wearing The Row and Cartier jewels, and Mary-Kate is wearing one of my favourite pieces from Chanel's Pre-Fall 2011 collection and rocks it beautifully!
Style Like U's latest inspiring profile is the glamorous Sarah Sophie Flicker; wife, mother of two and director of the now famous political theater group, The Citizen's Band. If you haven't ever visited Style Like U, boy are you in for a long and procrastinatory visit! Go straight to the site to read about Flicker and watch her amazing video to get a real insight into the thought process that led her to start up the Band and drool in awe at her INCREDIBLE vintage riddled wardrobe...
Oh man, it's been awhile huh?! I feel terrible for not posting for so long, who knew blogger guilt could be so strong? Anyway it's taken longer than I expected but I'm finally home from University! That's it, finito! I can no longer all myself a student (boo!) but I am happy and super excited to begin the long slog that is the path to my dream career. Inbetween all the final assessment work and packing up to move home madness I still managed to keep writing for Running In Heels, and my latest article has gone up!
Fashion today thrives on theatricality and pushing the boundaries of what is acceptable (raw meat dress anyone?) so my article about fashion's greatest eccentrics is more than apt. Read about histories greatest influences and the eccentrics making their mark today to claim their stake in fashion's history books.
Anna Piaggi: one of fashion's original and greatest eccentrics
What do you think of my new heels? They're for my honeymoon! I needed a new pair to prance around the resort in and the second my eyes fell on these babies I knew they were perfect. I think they're a mix of pretty Parisian meets Carrie Bradshaw. LOVE!
